Why I Made This Course

I created this course because I found that many resources on leadership and management only scratched the surface of what it truly takes to succeed as a CTO. While traditional business books serve as valuable primers on topics like company structure and leadership theory, they rarely address the unique blend of skills required for guiding technology. In my own journey, I often wished for a practical, in-depth blueprint — one that showed not just theoretical concepts, but real-world applications and scenarios.

The best lessons I’ve learned over the years did not come from a textbook — they came from trial, error, and collaboration.

I made critical mistakes during product launches, made tough hiring and firing decisions, and faced complex dilemmas where the right path was far from obvious. Through it all, I discovered patterns and principles that formed my personal CTO “playbook.”

This course is my way of opening that playbook and sharing it with aspiring, new, or even experienced CTOs.

What makes this course stand out is its focus on both hard and soft skills. It’s not enough to know how to talk tech or build a stable architecture.

The true power of a CTO lies in bridging gaps between engineering teams, upper management, and customers — all while staying on top of emerging technologies and market trends.

I firmly believe that if more resources had emphasized these softer skill sets alongside technical ones, I could have avoided several stumbling blocks. By making this course, I’m hoping others can build on my experience and avoid reinventing the wheel.
